Intimate Theatre bring Erasmus to Life

During the weekend of 23rd & 24th July the local drama group, Intimate Theatre, will be bring the world of Erasmus Darwin to life. “Meet the Darwin’s” is a new and exciting performance written by David Titley during which five friends, including Anna Seward, Mary Parker and Dr Small, tell their tales of Erasmus through personal stories.
Erasmus Darwin was a key local character in the 18th century. Predominantly a doctor, he was also a keen botanist, inventor and poet who had a full family life. He made a significant impact on the residents of Lichfield and in this performance you can find out how.
Performances will last for approximately one hour and will run every 30 minutes from 1pm on both Saturday and Sunday. The last performance starts at 3.30pm.
