Lichfield Cathedral Spire Tours (Throughout July)
Not afraid of heights? Climb the 160 steps to the top of Lichfield Cathedral's main spire for the best view of Lichfield by miles. Tickets are £5 and are on sale at the Cathedral Bookshop. Click here for more information.
The Lichfield Mysteries (Saturday 4th and 5th July)
One of Europe's largest community events takes place in Lichfield on Saturday 4th and 5th July throughout the city centre and Lichfield Cathedral. This spectacular event features over 1,000 actors, musicians and entertainers perform 27 tales of love, lust, temptation, greed, betrayal and forgiveness. Come and be part of something amazing... The Lichfield Festival (Thursday 9th - Sunday 19th July)
The Lichfield Festival brings music, dance, film and drama to the city from Thursday 9th July to Sunday 19th July. Some of the highlights for this year include the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
The ever-popular Medieval Market on Saturday 11th July has gone Georgian this year to honour Lichfield's most famous son Samuel Johnson, and the Festival ends with a bang on Saturday 18th July with fantastic fireworks in Beacon Park.

Your City in Lights! (Saturday 25th July)
This year we're celebrating Samuel Johnson's 300th birthday and as part of that, a fantastic sound and light show will light up the Birthplace Museum on Friday 18th September. Everyone is invited to get involved by coming along to the Your City in Lights event at The Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum on Saturday 25th July. Click here for more information.
