Drayton Manor Theme Park

Drayton Manor Theme Park is one of the UK’s leading destinations, with its amazing rides and attractions making it a firm favourite with both families and group visitors.

The park, near Tamworth, Staffordshire, is home to some of the biggest, scariest and wettest rides around. Thrill seekers will love the adrenaline-inducing drop-tower, Apocalypse, stand-up coaster, Shockwave, splash-tastic log flume, Stormforce 10, and gyro-swing, Maelstrom. Summer 2014 will also see the arrival of a brand new thrill ride, the stomach-churning aerial adventure, Air Race.

The award-winning theme park is also home to Europe’s only Thomas Land™, which features 21 rides and attractions based on the ever-popular Thomas & Friends™ series, including Cranky’s Drop Tower, the Troublesome Trucks Coaster and Winston’s Whistle Stop Tour.

There’s also a stunning 4D cinema and a fantastic 15-acre zoo within the theme park’s grounds, which is home to over 100 different species of animal, including a meerkat mob and a pair of highly endangered black leopards, There’s also an adorable Brazilian Tapir, Nickolas, who was born late in 2013.

For visitors travelling from further afield or simply looking to turn a day trip into an overnight stay, there’s also the luxurious four-star Drayton Manor Hotel. It has 150 bedrooms, including 15 Thomas & Friends themed family rooms, each with a unique hand-painted scene on the wall and ceiling, themed bunk beds, and train track patterned carpets in the corridors leading to each room.
