This winter, Illuminated Arboretum will return to the National Memorial Arboretum, in Staffordshire, offering families the opportunity to explore a meandering mile long route at night to marvel at this majestic winter light experience. Following a successful debut in 2018, this year’s incarnation features a new selection of artistic installations using light and sound to explore the art of conversation, bathing the woodlands, gardens and memorials in colour.

Visitors can send a message with Semaphore Man, be mesmerised by the ‘floating speech bubbles’ and navigate through a giant web of colourful threads before discovering Votive Woods and Beacons of Light. Illuminated Arboretum blends an exciting, multi-sensory, immersive experience with moving tributes of Remembrance.

The Illuminated Arboretum experience will be available from 11 to 20 December. Tickets can be purchased online (http://www.thenma.org.uk/events-at-the-arboretum/forthcoming-events/illuminated-arboretum/) or by calling 01283 245 100.

Sarah Oakden, Head of Marketing at the National Memorial Arboretum, said: “This mesmerising experience returns to the Arboretum following popular demand, featuring an incredible new selection of light installations, including several with interactive elements. There is still time to secure tickets at exclusive early bird prices; these are available until 31 October. Visitors of all ages will be excited by the multi-sensory displays as they discover the wonder of the Arboretum at night.”
