Drayton Manor Park has teamed up with the KidsOut charity and the Rotary International District to welcome more than 2,000 disadvantaged children and their carers to exclusively experience its award-winning Drayton’s Magical Christmas event.

In addition to meeting Father Christmas and receiving a festive gift, the children had the chance to experience all the rides and attractions on offer including the beautifully themed Thomas Land™ which has been fully transformed for Christmas. With sparkling decorations as far as the eye can see, guaranteed snow showers and accompanying festive music it offers a fully immerse experience to guests in the ultimate fairy-tale setting.

The park has been hosting KidsOut events since 1989, working with the charity to deliver fun experiences to thousands of children who come from tough backgrounds. As part of this long-standing initiative, Tuesday 4th December marked the fourth year that Drayton Manor has welcomed the children for Christmas.

In addition to the exclusive experience, a special KidsOut Christmas tree filled with handwritten tags by children in the trust has also been put up at Drayton Manor Park. Employees at the attraction will each pick a tag from the tree and donate a Christmas present for the young person who has written their note.

Gordon Moulds CBE DL, CEO of KidsOut said: “The relationship KidsOut has with Drayton Manor is essential in helping the charity bring fun and happiness to Britain’s most disadvantaged children. Support from the theme park allows the children to spend quality time with family, friends, and children in a similar situation. The day out goes a long way to showing these young people that someone does care, while bringing joy and a sense of normalcy back into their lives.

“The Drayton Manor Festive Fun Day is such a great event and KidsOut looks forward to collaborating with its organisers for many years to come”

Colin Bryan, Chairman at Drayton Manor Park said: “My father, George Bryan, OBE, began this important partnership with the KidsOut charity nearly 30 years ago, and since then it has been a cause extremely close to the Bryan family heart. Christmas can be a tough time of year for underprivileged children and families and this event helps provide the opportunity for these young people to have fun and make memories that will last a lifetime.

“It is an honour to open up our gates to invite the children to enjoy the Park’s Magical Christmas and we’d like to thank our employees for helping us bring joy to so many young people this festive season.”
