Drayton Manor Park has received top recognition in four categories at this year’s Enjoy Staffordshire Awards, including The Graeme Whitehead Award to Colin Bryan, CEO of the park, for his outstanding contribution to tourism in Staffordshire.

The family owned and run theme park achieved two Gold awards including Large Visitor Attraction of the Year, beating the likes of Alton Towers and Lichfield Cathedral, and for Inclusive Tourism against Just So Festival and Gladstone Pottery Museum.

The Drayton Manor Hotel also received recognition at the awards ceremony achieving Silver for Hotel of the Year, alongside Alton Towers Hotels and Swinfen Hall Hotel, who were also recognised in the category.

Colin Bryan, CEO of Drayton Manor Park, said: “As a family owned and run business, we all work towards a shared goal to ensure that families enjoy the best day out when they visit so to receive top recognition against some of our close competitors at a local level is a real honour.

“My parents George OBE and Vera Bryan founded the park in 1949 with the dream of offering a fun-filled day out in the Midlands for the whole family to enjoy. It means so much to the family that 68 years on Drayton Manor is still being recognised and enjoyed.”

Set in 280-acres of parkland, the award-winning attraction has something to offer everyone including a theme park with more than 100 rides and attractions, 15-acre zoo where you can spot hundreds of animals from around the globe, and an onsite 4 star hotel.

The park also boasts several family friendly rides and is home to Europe’s only Thomas Land™ attraction, which celebrated its 10th anniversary this year, featuring over 25 Thomas & Friends™ character rides for children and adults alike.

Drayton Manor is set to end its season with its award-winning Magical Christmas event that takes place on selected dates until the end of December*.
