What is Ascot Ladies Day?
Ascot Ladies’ Day is held on the Thursday of the Royal Meeting at Ascot Racecourse and it is all about the extravagant hats, glamorous outfits and celeb spotting. Each day at Royal Ascot begins with a Royal Procession, and six races throughout the day, with Ladies’ Day having the renowned Gold Cup race.
History of Ascot Ladies’ Day
The name Ladies’ Day is thought to originate from a time when races were commonly thought of as men-only activities. On this day, women would typically be offered free or discounted entry to the track to enjoy the festivities. Over the years it has become synonymous as the day when women showcase their most glamorous outfits and of course extravagant hats!
Best Place To Celebrate Ascot Ladies’ Day in the Midlands
Moor Hall have been hosting our Ascot Ladies’ Day Lunches for over 10 years and we love welcoming guests to this very special lunch. It’s the best way to experience all the fun of the races (without actually being there!) There will be big screens to see all the racing action and a bookmaker on hand to help you place your bets. We often get asked if men are allowed to attend - and yes, of course!

£5 from the sale of each ticket includes a voluntary donation to our chosen charity.
