Weekend of activities and entertainment celebrating lifestyles, fashion, music and classic cars of the post-war era including live music from big band swing act, plus Spitfire and Lancaster flypast

The sights, sounds and life of Britain’s post-war years will be celebrated at the Vintage Years Festival from 17-18 June 2017 at the National Brewery Centre in Burton upon Trent.


As part of Vera Lynn's 100th birthday year, the Vintage Years Festival is an action-packed weekend full of activities and entertainment focused on the lifestyles, fashion, music and classic cars of the post-war years. 


Highlights of the weekend will include a Spitfire flypast on Saturday and a Lancaster bomber flypast on Sunday (subject to weather and RAF operational requirements). The headline act on Saturday evening will be Thoroughly Modern Jukebox, a brilliant London-based 7 piece big band swing act that will catapult visitors back in time to the glamorous, raucous days of Glenn Miller, Ella Fitzgerald, The Rat Pack and Benny Goodman but with all the songs you know and love today, in a perfect vintage style. Other activities and entertainment will include: heavy horse demonstrations; classic cars & WWII vehicles; vintage model railway layouts; children's entertainment; fashion shows; live music from the era; DJ & compere; dance displays; re-enactors; vintage pop up market; RAF Ops room; horse rides & donkeys; farm machinery; Sunday church parade; 1940s school lesson; ration cookery school;

vintage beauty parlour;  and vintage teas.

The Vintage Years Festival takes place from 10am – 5pm on both days. Tickets are priced at £6, with a family or group of four at £20, and accompanied children under 16 go free.
