Lichfield District Council owns a wide collection of fine art and social artefacts, ranging from one of only 50 scold's bridles in the country, through to a box hewn from a Mulberry tree planted by Shakespeare. Many of the items are on display in the Lichfield Museum at St Mary's on the Market Square.
