Our Green Badge Guided Tours provide a wide range of fantastic tours for all the family to enjoy. For a run-down of what each tour offers, take a look at the descriptions below. Please note that all tours are subject to availability. Tours will last for approximately 1.5 hours each, other than those which include refreshments. Please wear sensible shoes and appropriate clothing, especially on the winter evening tours.

Pubs, Priests and Prostitutes

Hear about some of Lichfield’s historic and interesting characters.

Dates: 4 May, 29 June, 21 August, and 31 August (all Saturdays) at 2pm. Wednesday 21 August at 7pm

Blood Thirsty Lichfield

This thrilling tour is based on the Ghost tours but has been designed especially for children. The tours have been scheduled with the school holidays in mnd. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Dates: Wednesday 29 May, Tuesday 16 July and Thursday 15 August at 2pm

The Secret Gardens of Lichfield

Enjoy a relaxing stroll through Lichfield’s parks, green spaces and secret gardens.

Dates: Monday 10 June at 6.30pm, and Friday 21 June at 2pm

Boobies and Blockheads

This intriguingly named tour will tell you all you ever wanted to know about our most famous son, Dr Samuel Johnson. Find out who or what he termed a Boobie!

For Lovers of Romance

Find out about the romantic liaisons of some of Lichfield’s most famous sons and daughters! Refreshments – cup of tea or coffee, scone, jam & cream at Erasmus Darwin House.

Date: Sunday  21 July at 2pm

Georgian Gems

Lichfield is home to many famous Georgian characters and this tour charts their history.

Dates: Wednesday 24 July at 7pm, and Saturday 27 July at 2pm

Alrewas Village Tour

A walking tour around the pretty and historic village which is also very cliose to the maginificent National Memorial Arboretum.

Dates: Sunday 28 July and Sunday 11 August at 2pm

Cost - £6.00 per person to include a cup of tea or coffee and scone at the George and Dragon public house.

Heritage Trail

Lichfield is one of the smallest cathedral cities in England and has a rich and varied past - learn more about our city on this heritage tour.

Dates: Wednesday 14 August  at 7pm and Saturday 17 August at 2pm

Gruesome and Ghostly Tours

An evening to make your blood curdle and your spine tingle! The tour is rounded off with a visit to a local pub for a glass of mulled wine and a sausage roll.

Dates: Wednesday 23, Monday 28 and Wednesday 30 October; Monday 4, Wednesday 6, Monday 11, Wednesday 13, Monday 18 and Wednesday 20 November; Monday 2, Wednesday 4, Monday 9 and Wednesday 11 December at 7pm.
