The National Brewery Centre

The National Brewery Centre, incorporating The Bass Museum, celebrates the history of the development of brewing and the real life experiences of the people who helped to build Burton's world-renowned brewing reputation. Your tour takes you on a journey through the evolution of brewing. Each step of the brewing process is explained, from malting and hop growing, through to the brewing process itself – including full size historical brewing vessels. Daily guided tours are available as well as the opportunity to not only see our shire horses but enjoy a short dray ride.
The experience is then brought up to date by the newly completed William Worthington's microbrewery - a traditional English brew house, using Burton well water, English malted barley and hops to recreate beers first brewed 150 years ago. Try the finished product in The Brewery Tap bar and restaurant on site.
