Patriotic proms goes off with a bang!

Thousands of people waved their Union flags and sang with gusto at this year’s Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park on Saturday 1 September. Now in its fourteenth year, Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park, organised by Lichfield District Council, is a huge free celebration of classical and popular music, al fresco dining and spectacular fireworks.

Green Flag Award for Beacon Park

Lichfield District Council is celebrating the news it has been awarded Green Flag status for Beacon Park. The winners were announced today (Tuesday 17 July 2012), and Beacon Park is now one of 1,424 UK sites to receive a Green Flag Award.
