John Sergeant loves Lichfield

Dancing with the Stars legend and president of the Johnson Society John Sergeant has showed his love for Lichfield in an article on the Telegraph website.

In the article, John Sergeant explains his perfect weekend, which involves a visit to Lichfield.

He says: "On Saturday we often set off for Lichfield ... This year is very special because it's the 300th anniversary of Johnson's birth.

"It's a pleasure to sit in a peaceful garden, chat with friends and enjoy the view of Lichfield Cathedral.

"Later, we might make our way to the Garrick Theatre in the heart of the city to watch a show about Johnson and Boswell and then I give my own show. I love making people laugh and enjoy the warmth of the audience".
