Want to contribute to tourism in Lichfield District and have your say in tourism issues? Then join the LDTA!

The Lichfield District Tourism Association (LDTA) is a public and private sector partnership, which was set up in 1996, to channel collective effort in marketing the area and meeting the needs of visitors, thus generating benefits for both visitors and businesses alike.

The Association is open to all businesses or individuals with an interest in tourism in the district. At present there are approximately 90 members, which include attractions, restaurants, accommodation providers, shops and cafés to name but a few.

There are many benefits of membership, not least a discount on entry and advertising rates in the Lichfield Visitor Guide, produced annually and circulated to destinations and individuals across the UK and worldwide.

Other benefits of membership include regular invites to short networking meetings held approximately every two months alongside the opportunity to take part in social events. Members receive information on wider tourism initiatives such as the Southern Staffordshire Visitor Economy Strategy and priority invites to training courses, which are either free or discounted for members. Also offered is an enhanced entry onto the Lichfield Tourism website which includes a photograph, contact details and description and a link to the member's own website/email address.

The membership year runs from March to April. For details of membership fees and how to join the Association please telephone: 01543 308210 or 01543 308216 or click here to email your enquiry.

How's Business Survey

Over 2 million people visit Lichfield District each year and this number is growing. On average, a day visitor spends over £25 in local shops, attractions, bars and restaurants. As a district council we're working to promote Lichfield District to all local people and tourists. And, we want all businesses to have the opportunity to benefit from visitors.
To help us make sure our services are on track, and to find out how we are doing, please could you spare a few minutes to complete our How's Business questionnaire? Your answers will help us shape the services we offer and make sure we do all we can to promote the district in the right way and encourage more and more potential customers into the area and to your business.
The questionnaire is divided into two parts, click here (external website) for the first part and click here (external website) for the second part. Filling in the questionnaire will only take a few minutes.
