Lichfield Heritage Weekend - Georgian Festival

Venue: Lichfield City centre and heritage attractions

Heritage Weekend takes place every year on Samuel Johnson's Birthday to celebrate Lichfield's rich and varied history. Heritage attractions throw their doors open for free, together with some historical buildings that aren't usually open to the public. This year's we're celebrating 250 years of the lunar society with a Georgian Festival.

Events are not yet confirmed, but are likely to include:

  • Free craft activities and trails for children
  • Free guided tours and walks
  • Free face painting
  • Free entry to local heritage attractions
  • Free entertainment on Lichfield Market Square
  • Samuel Johnson Birthday Celebrations
  • Mini Town Crier Competition
