Making History - Lichfield Heritage Weekend 2015

Heritage Weekend takes place every year on Samuel Johnson's Birthday to celebrate Lichfield's rich and varied history. Heritage attractions throw their doors open for free, together with some historical buildings that aren't usually open to the public. This year's theme is 'Making History' with activities celebrating Lichfield's creative past and present. Visitors can discover more on fantastic tours, activities and exhibitions taking place over the weekend.

Events include:

  • Free craft activities and trails for children
  • Free guided tours and walks
  • Free face painting
  • Free entry to local heritage attractions
  • Free entertainment on Lichfield Market Square
  • Samuel Johnson Birthday Celebrations
  • Mini Town Crier Competition
