Lichfield Festival City

Lichfield is fast becoming known as Staffordshire's Festival City

No matter what time of year you visit, there's something to suit all tastes. If you see anything you particularly fancy, we recommend booking in advance. Lichfield Winter into Spring Beer and Wine Festival

Friday 9 & Saturday 10 April, 12noon - 11pm

This wonderful community event will have the usual wide choice of Real Ales, no less than 35 from micro brewers, plus draft and European beers, traditional ciders, a range of speciality bottled beers, and over 20 wines from all parts of the world. There will be a choice of food including ' the famous pork pies' and there will also be musical entertainment each night.

Lichfield Bower

Monday 31 May, 12noon

The Lichfield Mercury Bower Queen is crowned outside the Guildhall by the Major of Lichfield, followed by a traditional street carnival led by the Green Man's Morris and Sword Club, followed by The Band Of The Brigade Of Gurkhas through the city with floats. A traditional steet market held on Market Street, and a fun day for all the family at Beacon Park, with BRMB Road Show, band displays, fun fairs, trade and charity stalls and much more.

Friday 18 - Sunday 20 June, 9am - 10pm

A weekend of song music and dance displays throughout the city with dance and music workshops. Why not come along and join in the fun?

Real Ale Jazz and Blues

21st Lichfield Real Ale, Jazz and Blues Festival

Thursday 24 - Sunday 27 June

A wonderful mix of Britian's finest Jazz and Blues Musicians, plus fine beers,fine company and tremendous atmosphere.

Lichfield Festival

Thursday 8 - Sunday 18 July

Ten days when the world comes to Lichfield to enjoy concerts, film, art drama and free community events. The popular Festival Market fills the Cathedral Close on Saturday 10 July and the Festival Firework Finale takes place on saturday 17 July at 9.30pm. The full and varied programme will be announced in April.

Fuse

Fuse - The Event in a Tent

Friday 9 - Sunday 11 July

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Beacon Park, enjoy fine music, craft, dance and other workshops. There will be craft stalls, food for all tastes and a licensed bar. Just come along and enjoy yourself at this free event.

Flower Festival

St. Chad's Well Dressing and Flower Festival

Thursday 15 - Sunday 18 July

An extravaganza of flowers with a special preview evening on Thursday 15 July (tickets only, please call for details). Programmes will be on sale and donations will be appreciated.

Burntwood Wakes

Burntwood Wakes Festival

Neon Sound Studios, on behalf of Burntwood Town Council, are proud to present bands from the local area. Watch the local press for details of the line-up.

Family fun day
Burntwood Town Council is pleased to offer an afternoon of entertainment for all the family. The line-up includes archery tuition, Bolddog Lings Freestyle Motocross Team, climbing tower, inflatable world, bands, mini football tournament, dog agility demonstrations, dance troupes, plus information marquee, craft fayre marquee and charity stalls.

Jazz in the park
Burntwood Town Council presents the Shrewsbury Jazz Orchestra, accompanied by vocalist Laura Collins. The 16 piece orchestra will be supported by students from Chase Terrace Technology College.

The Canwell Show

Agricultural, horticultural and horse show. A great day out for all the family.

Alrewas Arts Festival

Saturday 28 August - Saturday 4 September, 10am  - 4.30pm

An eight day arts festival, featuring exhibitions, workshops and performances, including dance, drama, film, poetry, storytelling, comedy, pub, jazz, folk and classical concerts. There will also be a street craft market, twilight lantern parade and final spectacular on Walkfield.
