National Memorial Arboretum

The National Memorial Arboretum’s is the UK’s year-round centre of Remembrance; a spiritually uplifting place which honours the fallen, recognises service and sacrifice, and fosters pride in our country. The Arboretum is part of The Royal British Legion family of charities. Sited in the heart of the Nation with 50,000 maturing trees and over 200 significant memorials, it is a beautiful and lasting tribute to those who serve their country or who have died in conflict. The Act of Remembrance, including a silence, is observed daily in the Millennium Chapel.

The Arboretum is home to the striking Armed Forces Memorial which commemorates those who have been killed on duty or as a result of terrorism from the end of the Second World War to the present day.

It has meeting, conference, Remembrance and event facilities, as well as an on site restaurant. Group packages available and welcome.

For children, don't miss the Wind in the Willows wood.

Getting here and parking

By Road

Exit A38 between Lichfield & Burton on Trent onto A513 towards Alrewas/Tamworth. Follow directions for 1 mile to Arboretum. Car parking charge Ā£2 a day.

Opening Hours

The Arboretum is open every day except Christmas Day between 9am and 5pm. During the winter months the Arboretum grounds close at dusk. The visitor centre remains open until 5pm. During the summer months last admission to the Arboretum is 4.30pm (unless otherwise stated).
