Consequence of War

Venue: Lichfield Cathedral

A poignant, moving and revealing exhibition which draws attention to the effect of World War One. The exhibition will explore the immediate aftermath of the conflict and the quest and failure of the search for peace over the subsequent century.

The exhibition combines reflections of conflict from a local and national perspective and involves the work of some of Britain's most significant post war artists, which will question our notions of peace and war.

Internationally renowned artists include: Henry Moore Paul Nash Graham Sutherland Henri Gaudier-Brzeska

Other exhibits will include: Original work by the Cathedral's Artist-in-residence, Peter Walker Items from the Staffordshire Regiment Museum Military Valour awards Trench art
